Efail Bach is nestled just below Pen Gloch Y Pibwr in the beautiful Black Mountian village of Cwmdu. The cottage offers stunning views and endless walks for guests to enjoy all year long.
Conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from the “2019 high street of the year” Crickhowell and a 20-minute drive from Pen Y Fan mountain. Guests can visit the incredible array of restaurants and cafes dotted around the area.
This cottage has recently been re-decorated giving it a modern and homely feel. The bathroom (upstairs) is spacious and has a large shower and separate bath. The cottage has a very efficient central heating system to ensure it is always warm and cosy.
Rental is a two-day minimum. The cottage has free WIFI.
Efail Isaf – Old Smithy
Sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and has a sofabed in the living room.
Efail is situated just below the Beacons Way, a renowned footpath stretching deep into the national park.
There are walks from the doorstep to Tretower, Bwlch, Cwmdu and Crickhowell.
This traditional property has many wonderful features!
The cottage has WIFI and a smart TV with Netflix.

Kitchen
There is a fitted, very well equipped kitchen. This comprises all the usual modern facilities including an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Lovely fitted units with ample storage space.
Sitting Room
The sitting room has a feature fireplace fitted with a flame-effect electric fire, smart TV with Netflix and Freeview. WiFi is also available free of charge.
Upstairs
Master Bedroom 1:
A very spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed with an en-suite shower room, toilet, bath and hand basin. Beautiful views over the countryside to the south and west.
Garden
A pretty garden fronts the cottage with a garden bench – a perfect place to sit on a sunny evening. There is also a small elevated garden to the rear with a patio, garden furniture and a BBQ (see gallery).
Dogs
Up to 2 dogs welcome.

There is a dining area/family room through an archway off the kitchen with a feature fireplace and a very efficient wood burning stove, dining table, 6 chairs and fabulous views out across the valley to the hills beyond.
Sitting Room
The downstairs sitting room has a feature fireplace fitted with a coal-effect electric fire, smart TV with Freeview and Netflix. WiFi available. A brand new sofabed was added to this room in 2023.
WC
There is also a downstairs cloakroom with toilet and hand wash basin.
Upstairs
Reached by a traditional fairly steep and carpeted stone staircase to three bedrooms.

A very spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed with an en-suite shower-room and toilet and small hand basin. Beautiful views over the countryside to the south and west.

Bedroom with a double bed with ample storage space for clothes
