Why Choose Cwmdu for a Family Holiday in Wales?
Organising a family group holiday can be tricky—everyone has different needs and ideas of fun. That’s where Cwmdu excels. Our collection of cottages, campsite pitches, and wellness facilities means each family member can enjoy their stay their own way while still being together.
You can gather for shared meals, morning walks, or evening fires, but also have space to unwind. Parents can relax in the sauna while kids play in the open fields, and grandparents can enjoy quiet mornings surrounded by birdsong and mountain views.
This variety makes Cwmdu ideal for extended families, reunions, or celebrations where comfort, connection, and countryside come together.
Stay Your Way: From Cottages to Camping
At the heart of Cwmdu’s appeal is choice. Families can mix and match between self-catering cottages and camping or glamping options to suit every age and comfort level.
🏡 Cwmdu Holiday Cottages
Our Holiday Cottages are perfect for grandparents, parents with young children, or anyone who prefers a little luxury. These beautifully restored stone cottages offer modern kitchens, cosy wood-burning stoves, and soft beds—ideal after a day exploring the Brecon Beacons.
Each cottage is self-contained, meaning families can cook together, share meals, and enjoy evenings by the fire. Large outdoor spaces make them great for barbecues or picnics, with the mountains as your backdrop.
⛺ Cwmdu Campsite
Meanwhile, Cwmdu Campsite offers a more adventurous way to stay. It’s a family-friendly site welcoming tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. Children can roam freely, play games, and explore nature safely, while adults can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and stunning views.
For those who love comfort but want to stay close to the action, our glamping pods and shepherd’s huts offer a fun middle ground—ideal for teens or families who want to camp without the packing.
🌿 Perfect Together
Many families book both cottages for some, while others opt for camping—creating a shared experience that suits everyone’s style. You’re all just a short walk apart, so it’s easy to come together for meals, activities, and evening fires under the stars.
